Where art forms and cultures meet
You are welcome to join us for a joyful evening of multicultural music, participatory art and storytelling. If you'd like to reserve a place, please email info@spiritofpeace.co.uk or phone 07711 960 644.
For the Mayor's community weekend we are planning another community event and are delighted that Kensington Unitarians are supporting us again (See post below). This time we are planning an afternoon tea, with activities for children, followed by an early evening event, similar to the one described below. The afternoon tea will be by invitation only, as it will involve refugees and asylum seekers. The evening 'Celebrate Life' event will start at 6:30pm. If you are interested to hear about the event when the details are available, or would like to take part as a performer, please email info@spiritofpeace.co.uk

Working with Spirit of Peace, members of our team took part in a series of events called 'Celebrating Diversity'. These events brought minority, majority and interfaith communities together using the Arts to connect people at a Heart level.
These events which took place in Crawley, Abingdon, Stroud and London, were designated as pre-Conference events for the Parliament of World Religions.
The final event, called Celebrating Diversity, was held at Kensington Unitarian Church on 5th February. For the Kensington event we were delighted to partner with the London and District Unitarians and to receive support from Kensington Unitarians.
The event brought together singers, musicians, storytellers and artists and a movement therapist, representing different religious and cultural traditions, and a good time was had by all according to responses and feedback.
These photos illustrate some of the activities we got up to, including relaxing movement, artwork, origami, music and storytelling. Our guest singer was Hanna Yaffe from Jerusalem. In the top left photo, you can see Drew Sinclair playing the Handpan, which in skilled hands such as Drew’s makes ethereal and meditative music.
We created this image in support of UN International Non-violence Day, which takes place every year and also honours Mahtma Gandhi’s birthday (2nd October).
Our team is pleased to bring you this video which we made in solidarity with all people across the globe who have had to leave their homelands to find safety and security in other lands.
